The Lumen Process

Amy Siegrist, PhD

Navigating transitions, uncertainty and complex situations is challenging. Building an effective strategy and making important decisions requires clear, structured frameworks and tools that are:

  • Coordinated to analyze a situation in its entirety (10,000 ft view) while honing in on immediate details, decisions and action steps (4 ft horizon).

  • Grounded in research, practical analysis and common sense.

  • Customized to the unique circumstances, goals and priorities of your situation.

Who do I support?

  • Individuals in educational and professional transition

    • College students

    • Young adults

    • Parents and high school students

  • Businesses and community organizations and professionals

    • Executives, professionals and teams

    • Small business owners

    • Professional organizations

The Lumen Process & my approach are informed by my own nontraditional, professional pathway and experience:

  • Optimizing Business & Organizational Effort & Collaboration

    • As an owner and contributor to tech startups and other businesses I've worked alongside teams with limited resources and high expectations for success to optimize outcomes. Creative thinking and rolling up our sleeves to wear multiple hats and streamline efforts are critical.

  • Navigating Transitions toward Professional & Personal Growth & Wellbeing

    • As a Lecturer & Practicum Director at UT Austin I taught courses in professional development and guided students' use of tools and frameworks to navigate their transitions into the workforce and graduate studies.

  • Building into Wellness & Wellbeing

    • Breath, movement and mindfulness practices direct focus and allow us to be present in our selves and situations. Cutting through everyday distractions to construct new frameworks that guide work, life and ways of being is supported by these practices. I enjoy leading workshops to create calm, clarity, and action as well as Tai Chi classes in the community that highlight these practices.

I had the opportunity to work with Amy during a corporate strategy
session, and it was one of the most clarifying and energizing experiences I’ve had as a founder. Amy brings an incredible ability to take what feels like chaos in your mind and organize it into a clear, actionable strategy. In just one session, she helped me visually map the entire Nui Sport ecosystem from product development and client relationships to revenue models, go-to-market strategy, and growth opportunities. We organized everything into meaningful buckets, identified what’s mission-critical, and outlined our most important next steps.

What made the experience so impactful wasn’t just Amy’s
strategic insight, but her calm presence, deep listening, and ability to pull clarity out of complexity.

"Creating transformative change or

making subtle shifts takes courage, purpose and direction.

I am inspired by people who envision life and work differently and who are ready to act."
